Children's Cough and Cold Medicines Recalled

Major cough and cold medicines for children have been voluntarily recalled from the store shelves. Recent studies have been saying for a while now that children under two years old should never be given cough or cold medicines, even those formulated for children, due to adverse reactions.

I know my kids were given these when they were little and it scares me to think what might have happened if I had accidentally given too much. They were sick little buggers! Actually, they still are, but now they are bigger.

Affected brands are:

Johnson & Johnson Pediacare Infant Drops and Tylenol Concentrated Infants Drops, Wyeth's Dimetapp Decongestant Infant Drops, Novartis' Triaminic Infant & Toddler Thin Strips and Prestige Brands Holdings' Little Colds Decongestant Plus Cough.
