Hello Kitty - The Dark Mark of Shame

This is too funny not to post here - the Thai police are being forced to wear Hello Kitty armbands and other regalia for punishment!

From the article:

"(Hello) Kitty is a cute icon for young girls. It's not something macho police officers want covering their biceps," Pongpat said.

Too bad we can't do that in elementary school with some of the boys! Upon a quick google of Hello Kitty, I did also find this gem and would be more worried about these products and who they would embarrass! I am now soooo glad dd2 got a new Hello Kitty lunchbox for kindergarten! I, for one, will wear my Hello Kitty with pride!
